Troegum the gnome, running away from a life of slavery.

Super roach, stuck in the form of a humanoid cockroach.

Dr. Lepard Repard, trapped in a mountain fortress.

These short sentences may seem like they do not pertain to each other at all, but these are just partitions of the story.

of a laboratory did Dr. Lestopher Lasmose conduct his experiments.

"Brackens! The Algometer and plegometer if you will!". said Dr.Repard, pointing with his gruvvulous glove to a mass looking not unlike a small pig or piglet.

Brackens, a small squarish looking man with owlish eyes and anything you could describe of him would always end in -ish handed the doctor an expensive looking device with hand made wooden buttons.
Dr.Repard was expecting a group of people over for an informal fiesta; wonderment and perplexion came over his mask as he prodded and poked the specimen with his scientific instruments, if his operation foretold the facts of his own genius over the people he seeked to impress, they might be awed to the point of increasing the rate of possible expenditure money on an extremely precarious voyage to a previously unknown location deep in the heart of a jungle because of the possibility of finding cool artifacts and cool symbols. Above the laboratory in the Repard mansion, a whispery voice did speak.
  "docktor!, your visitors are on the horizon! Shall I fetch the wagon yonder?"said the whispery voice.
"With a will, слуга" Lepard said unto the whispery voice with a cube he held in his hand.

The group consisted of a half dozen of people dressed modestly, they were there because Dr.Repard wanted them to sponser him on a voyage to some island.
These were the people that came,
Rusty, video rental shop owner
Bob, oil rig owner
Neil, scientist, president of the society of things that people like to do(the STTPLTD)
